Jonathan Ong Joins Elite of Insolvency Professionals

KRyS Global is pleased to announce that Jonathan Ong, a senior manager, is a member of the graduating class of the 2018/2019 INSOL Global Insolvency Practice Course and accordingly will be a Fellow of INSOL International with effect from 1 August 2019.

The INSOL Fellowship programme is the pre-eminent advanced educational qualification focusing on international insolvency and the ways in which the problems of companies in financial distress can be addressed so as to prevent liquidation. The course also provide a strong emphasis on the effectiveness of the different mechanisms for dealing with cross border insolvency such as The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency of 1997 and EU Regulation on Insolvency Proceedings.

Admission to the course is limited, which ensures academic excellence and the opportunity for good personal contact between students and faculty. Potential candidates must already hold a degree or equivalent to be considered for this programme and must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field. Participants represent the different jurisdictions of the World.

As a Fellow of INSOL, Jonathan joins an elite category of insolvency practitioners across the globe. Jonathan is currently a court appointed insolvency appointment holder in both Bermuda and Singapore and his background includes over 15 years of professional experience in forensic accounting, dispute resolution, litigation support, corporate restructuring and insolvency.
